Overview
In this role, you will shape and deliver complex training systems for the British Army through the OMNIA Training alliance. You’ll work across multidisciplinary teams to translate operational needs into practical architectures and verifiable designs, ensuring interoperability and effective integration with external partners. You’ll operate in a high-impact, collaborative environment focused on transforming collective training and readiness. Responsibilities
- Define work packages and technical requirements across multi-capability services to meet specs
- Define requirements and produce designs
- Log, delegate, and quality assure as part of routine operations
- Serve as technical liaison between engineering teams and supply chain partners
- Maintain records, lead audits, contribute to key work packages
- Lead or support systems engineering activities including product development and qualification
- Collaborate with OMNIA Training to review and implement advanced training environments
- Support maintenance, installation, problem resolution, and system operation improvements
- Champion EHS compliance and continuous improvement
- Performe other duties to meet programme needs
Key requirements
- Multi-disciplinary experience in a system engineering environment
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering Process (ISO 15288)
- Experience writing system requirements and design documentation
- Knowledge of System Engineering V-model lifecycle and processes
- Experience writing Technical Specifications and ICDs
- Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence
- Engineering degree or equivalent professional experience
- Ability to translate requirements into practical architectures and implementation plans
- Experience supporting deployments in Agile or SAFe environments
- Experience with system testing, validation, and troubleshooting
- Experience with Cloud services (AWS or Azure)
