Overview

In this role you will manage technology governance and project delivery across international technology domains, aligning portfolios with regulatory and strategic priorities. You will lead governance forums, track performance, and provide clear executive-level reporting to support decisions. You will also drive AI and emerging tech governance, balancing innovation with risk and compliance. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape delivery across Europe, Asia, Canada and LatAm while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable responsible technology outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate International Technology governance routines and reporting across a mixed portfolio of strategic, regulatory and tech-change initiatives.
  • Drive a unified portfolio view covering demand, prioritisation, investments, milestones, dependencies, capacity, benefits, risks and executive decisions.
  • Chair or coordinate senior governance forums and provide actionable recommendations and governance insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Establish governance frameworks, performance metrics, portfolio health indicators and benefits realization processes.
  • Lead cross-functional resolution of dependencies, blockers, governance gaps and control issues across Business, Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Data and Risk teams.
  • Define and advance the International Technology Innovation & AI agenda through governance and investment processes.
  • Maintain innovation and AI operating processes from idea to scaled implementation with governance approvals.
  • Oversee responsible AI adoption ensuring alignment with data governance, privacy, cybersecurity, model risk, legal and compliance.
  • Partner with SMEs to evaluate AI-enabled solutions, articulate value, assess risk, and ensure governance controls during implementation.
  • Promote automation, analytics and AI-enabled tooling to improve governance and management information quality.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within governance forums and throughout adoption of emerging technologies.
  • Coach programme and project leaders, promoting consistent governance and delivery standards and high-performing communities.
  • Support regulatory, audit and control engagements with clear governance evidence and remediation activity.

Key requirements

  • Experience in Project Management and Methodologies and strategic planning
  • Proven governance frameworks, portfolio oversight, prioritisation, financial governance, dependency and risk management, benefits realization
  • Experience with agile, hybrid and traditional delivery methodologies
  • Knowledge of AI, generative AI, automation and data-enabled transformation with governance and risk considerations
  • Ability to influence senior executives and facilitate decisions in high-pressure environments
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across Business, Product, Technology, Data, Risk, Compliance and Control
  • Analytical capability to assess investment options and measurable outcomes
  • Excellent executive-level communication and governance reporting
  • Experience operating across international regions with varying regulatory requirements
