Head Engineer – Electrical & Mechanical Critical Infrastructure

Overview

In this role you contribute to the reliability of Equinix data center infrastructure. You apply advanced technical analysis to diagnose and repair mission-critical systems, ensuring adherence to manufacturer guidelines and global standards. You work with design stakeholders to validate power installations and support site maintenance. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve complex issues and improve resilience. Responsibilities

• Perform specialized repairs on mission-critical data center systems using analytical problem-solving
• Review specialized contractual reports and activities
• Oversee site maintenance and upkeep of data center infrastructures to global standards
• Ensure repairs comply with manufacturer guidelines and best practices
• Contribute to root cause analysis and repair of critical components
• Devise solutions with limited information and adapt existing approaches
• Collaborate with design stakeholders on design changes
• Validate design criteria for new principal power installations

Key requirements

• Proven years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or proven years with a Master’s degree; or PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
• Ability to liaise with stakeholders and adapt communication to different audiences
