Overview
In this role you will apply your cost management expertise to support infrastructure projects and programmes. You will work closely with clients and delivery teams to manage budgets, forecasts, and change control, ensuring value delivery and governance. The position combines commercial leadership with hands-on contract administration in a dynamic, consultancy environment. Your impact spans cost accuracy, cashflow management, and final accounts to help projects meet objectives and maximise outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Establish professional relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Administer contracts in line with project objectives and policies
- Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecast and reporting to budget
- Monitor cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely applications
- Collaborate with client and contractor teams on programme performance, KPIs, cost control and value engineering
- Manage contract changes to maintain governance and best practices
- Improve forecast accuracy and budget integrity
- Provide commercial support to stakeholders and lead teams as needed
- Negotiate and settle final accounts
Key requirements
- Proven cost/commercial management experience
- MRICS (preferred)
- NEC3 contracts (Option C – Target Cost) experience
- Post contract administration
- Experience on major programmes and infrastructure projects (rail, air, marine/ports, utilities, highways)
- Experience in leading and managing teams
