Overview

In this role you join a growing Real Estate energy and utilities team, advising on high-value projects in the Energy & Energy Transition sector. You will work closely with sector leaders to support large-scale transactions for institutional investors, developers, and funders. The role combines non-contentious and contentious land rights, consenting matters, and complex financings in a decarbonising energy landscape. You’ll contribute to a collaborative, cross-service-line environment that values growth, client impact, and transformational projects across energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on high-value real estate transactions within energy/utility projects (renewables, storage, and related infrastructure)
  • Manage land rights, consenting matters, and strategic permitting including CPO and DCO processes
  • Support financing, acquisitions, and development strategies for energy projects
  • Coordinate across departments (construction, planning, funds and finance) to deliver integrated solutions
  • Represent clients on landmark energy infrastructure schemes and project-level negotiations
  • Contribute to client management and development, with exposure to senior stakeholders
  • Assist in complex due diligence and regulatory risk assessment for energy transitions

Key requirements

  • Experience in real estate practice with energy or utilities projects
  • Senior Associate or Associate Director level applicants
