Overview

As a Principal Consultant, you will lead CDE strategy, configuration, and governance for global client projects. You will shape Information Management at programme and project levels, ensuring ISO 19650 alignment and efficient data handling. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to drive adoption, ensure data quality, and deliver measurable improvements in CDE performance. This role offers scope to influence how information is organized and used across major programmes, enabling better project outcomes. You will partner with stakeholders to lead transformation in information management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to enable effective operation and drive adoption of the CDE
  • Lead development, configuration and implementation of CDE aligned to client requirements and ISO 19650 best practice (folders, metadata, workflows, access control)
  • Establish and manage CDE configuration processes supporting change control and governance
  • Produce project or programme Information Standards detailing IM and CDE requirements
  • Develop and deliver programme-wide reporting and analytics on CDE usage focusing on data accuracy and performance
  • Oversee day-to-day management and operation of the CDE, driving continuous improvement and supporting CDE Managers and Document Controllers
  • Organise and deliver training sessions for new and existing users

Key requirements

  • Experienced Information Manager / CDE Specialist / Lead Document Controller with 5+ years
  • Understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in IM and Document Control
  • Understanding of ISO 19650 standards (Part 2) and its impact on IM and Document Control
  • Experience developing Information Standards, BEPs, and AIR/EIR documentation
  • Experience mentoring CDE Managers / Document Controllers
  • Autodesk Forma (Autodesk Construction Cloud) administrator level experience
  • User level experience with at least one other CDE / EDMS or similar system
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience with optional CDE/EDMS features such as e-procurement, ACC Take-off
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Clear communication with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to lead meetings and present effectively
  • Autodesk Forma (Autodesk Construction Cloud) administrator
  • CDE/EDMS systems experience
  • ISO 19650 standards knowledge
