Overview

In this Finance Manager role, you will own a broad finance remit within a growing SaaS business in Central London. You will support operational finance, payroll, month-end, management accounts, and financial analysis, while driving process improvements and automation. You’ll work closely with senior finance stakeholders and help scale the finance function as the business grows. A key focus is delivering accurate financial information and enabling data-driven decisions, with opportunities to implement new systems and AI-enabled tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll across multiple international entities and contractors
  • Oversee accounts payable processes to ensure timely payment
  • Prepare and support VAT and sales tax submissions
  • Respond to operational finance queries across the business
  • Maintain accurate financial records for the group
  • Own month-end balance sheet reconciliations across entities
  • Maintain and reconcile key control accounts (accrued income, deferred revenue, provisions, fixed assets, prepayments, wages; PAYE and pension)
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Ensure financial information is accurate, complete and delivered on deadlines
  • Prepare financial and operational analyses to support decision-making
  • Support implementation and migration of new payroll and finance systems
  • Identify opportunities to improve, streamline and automate finance processes
  • Explore AI and automation to reduce manual work and improve efficiency
  • Help develop robust and scalable finance processes as the business grows

Key requirements

  • Newly Qualified or Finalist level (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong experience in operational finance and management accounts
  • Experience managing or supporting multi-jurisdictional payroll
  • Hands-on experience with accounts payable and VAT/sales tax
  • Experience preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with KPIs and performance data
  • Experience in multi-entity or international group structures
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proactive, independent worker with clear communication skills
  • Interest in AI, automation and using technology to improve finance processes
