Overview

In this role you will lead project controls for large infrastructure programmes in London, shaping how schedules, costs and performance are tracked and reported. You will work closely with programme managers and cross-functional teams to ensure realistic resourcing, data integrity and compliant control processes. You’ll apply GRIP-aligned controls to delivery and drive efficient, outcomes-focused reporting that supports major infrastructure outcomes. This is a hands-on position with a clear impact on programme success and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the programme controls function for infrastructure programmes in London and oversee accuracy of plans, costs, safety, environment and performance reporting
  • Establish and maintain project control processes in line with GRIP guidance under the Programme Controller
  • Review new project proposals to develop realistic resource plans and identify resourcing requirements
  • Provide day-to-day reporting support to Programme and Project Managers on plans, costs, safety, environment and performance
  • Ensure data input to cost and performance systems meets required standards
  • Produce and manage the Investment Plan and comply with the Investment Competence Framework

Key requirements

  • Experience in planning and scheduling functions (schedule development, control and analysis) in field and home office
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with PC operating systems and multiple software applications
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office; understanding of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction and start-up processes
