Overview
In this role you will support sustainability operations within the Biofuels trading arm of a leading global oil and gas group. You’ll manage mass balance and documentation to ensure regulatory and certification compliance across the supply chain, while collaborating with trading, operations and suppliers. You will help optimise sustainable balances, drive feedstock traceability, and support audits and digitalisation initiatives. This is a hands-on position with impact on sustainability performance and commercial opportunities in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities
- Manage sustainability mass balance across the supply chain and reconcile sustainable feedstocks and products.
- Review and maintain sustainability documentation for inbound and outbound transactions to meet regulatory and certification requirements.
- Support commercial activities by optimizing available sustainability balances and maximizing value of certified products.
- Act as internal focal point for sustainability documentation and compliance across Operations, Trading, Biorefineries, Logistics, Back Office, and other functions.
- Collaborate with suppliers and counterparties to enhance feedstock traceability and align with sustainability standards.
- Coordinate certification activities and manage relationships with certification bodies and industry associations.
- Lead and assist certification audits, including document prep and internal readiness.
- Provide ad hoc analytics and support market analysis, supply/demand assessments, and sustainability-related market developments.
- Assist in preparing internal reports, presentations and business updates on trading, sustainability performance and opportunities.
Key requirements
- Minimum 3 years in BioFuels Trading or closely related role (must have)
- Strong understanding of sustainability certification schemes, traceability and renewable fuel regulations
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
- Experience with PowerBI or similar digital reporting tools (preferred)
- Excellent stakeholder management with ability to engage suppliers, customers, certification bodies and internal teams
- Quantitative degree (Engineering, Maths, Statistics, Physics or IT)
- Ability to manipulate data, assess risk and apply market knowledge to trading context
