Overview
In this role you will implement or support an integrated risk management framework for a major capital programme at a London-based airport. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify threats, opportunities and issues, track risk triggers, and inform investment decisions. You’ll drive measurable management responses, monitor overall risk exposure, and generate timely risk reports. You will work with contractors to align client and contractor risk views and contribute to contingency planning and risk-informed delivery.

Responsibilities
- Implement/integrate a risk management framework for a major capital programme
- Identify, assess and prioritise threats, opportunities and issues within the sub-programme
- Track risk trigger points to support risk cost profiling and budget management
- Use risk data to inform investment planning
- Record and monitor measurable risk responses and post-mitigation positions
- Monitor overall risk exposure against the remaining risk budget
- Advance completion of management responses to deliver target positions
- Assess contractor-held risks and client-held risks that affect contractors
- Produce risk reports to communicate threat and opportunity status
- Conduct quantitative risk assessments (cost and schedule) to inform contingency levels
Key requirements
- Qualitative and quantitative risk assessment skills for large programmes
- Working understanding of integrated risk management (risk, cost, schedule)
- Risk workshop facilitation and threat mitigation/opp exploitation
- Proven risk delivery experience on major projects/programmes
- APM/IRM risk certification preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Degree-qualified in a construction-related subject preferred
- P6 proficiency and familiarity with probabilistic modelling (e.g., @risk, PRA) or equivalent
