Overview
As a Senior Regional Planner, you will shape and steward complex civil infrastructure programmes across the South West. You’ll integrate engineering insight with scheduling expertise to deliver robust, fully coded plans that align with client requirements. You will liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather progress data, manage risks, and keep programmes up to date against baselines. This hybrid role blends site exposure with regional office planning, offering impact through improved delivery, reporting, and procurement visibility.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain logically linked programmes with detailed WBS and coded activities
- Input to project risk registers and monitor progress to reflect forecast
- Communicate progress and updates to delivery teams and clients
- Ensure procurement visibility through material and plant detail
- Provide resource and recruitment information to support timely delivery
- Cover all contractual milestones and support continuous improvement of planning/delivery teams
- Act as an ambassador to suppliers, stakeholders, and the public
- Support adherence to business lifesaving rules
Key requirements
- Main contract experience in civil projects
- Engineering background with site roles (e.g., Site Engineer, Section Engineer, Agent)
- Solid understanding of ASTA, Primavera P6, and MS planning software
- At least three years planning experience with additional on-site experience
- Progression from engineering background
