Overview

As part of the Functional Engineering & R&T team in the One PLM service line, you drive harmonized IT/IS tooling for aircraft development, manufacturing, and support. You will design and implement MBSE-enabled PLM solutions (SPDM/ADSE on 3DEXPERIENCE) and guide business process improvements. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable specifications and support the full development life cycle. This role supports Airbus transformation toward safer, smarter, and more connected operations with a strong emphasis on digital engineering and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep discovery to capture customer requirements and identify automation opportunities
• Identify process improvements aligned with the Digital strategy and IT solutions
• Support the IT Product Manager with product planning based on customer needs
• Document current challenges, future requirements, and benefits for stakeholders
• Define and develop specification documents for review with stakeholders and product teams
• Perform technical/functional design of applications and infrastructure for new solutions
• Provide expertise in business processes, change management, and technology enablement for reengineering
• Follow the full application development life cycle: research, design, development, testing, implementation, support

Key requirements

• >5 years of experience in functional architecture, project management, solution engineering or related field
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or equivalent
• Knowledge in design domains: functional engineering, simulation, MBSE, architectural mock-up generation
• Experience leading a project from start to finish and delivering results
• Knowledge of IT tools customization and architecture, IT-business strategy alignment, IT product design and development, IT change management
