Overview
In this role you will advise on Defence supply chain and LCST systems, identify inefficiencies, and drive improvements to deliver service excellence. You will engage senior stakeholders, coordinate execution, and influence cross-functional teams to resolve complex operations challenges. The position combines strategic and hands-on delivery, with autonomy to tackle priorities and lead governance and risk oversight. You will help shape the LCST agenda and alignment with wider Defence logistics objectives.

Responsibilities
- Represent the Operations Director at senior leadership meetings and coordinate directorate tasking and reporting
- Investigate complex LCST and Defence Supply Chain integration issues and develop practical solutions
- Lead deep-dive reviews and priority workstreams across LCST and broader Defence Supply Chain
- Project manage responses to strategic initiatives and customer requirements from scoping to BAU handover
- Review Statements of Requirement and change proposals, ensuring operational impacts and dependencies are considered
- Contribute to logistics delivery and governance meetings to achieve operational targets
- Evaluate processes, identify best practices, and challenge issues affecting performance or reputation
- Lead the design and delivery of Directorate strategy and leadership events with clear priorities
- Coordinate Directorate operational risk management, including identification, assessment, and escalation
- Support development and delivery of new business opportunities and growth projects aligned with priorities
- Manage delivery of the Operations Directorate Cognitive Command Centre to Full Operational Capability
Key requirements
- Leadership experience in supply chain, logistics and/or operations
- Stakeholder engagement and customer relationship management
- Strong written and verbal communications with ability to influence
- Ability to solve complex problems across multiple stakeholder organisations
- UK driving license and willingness to travel within the UK
