Overview

In this role you will contribute to a broad range of civil infrastructure projects within a dynamic engineering consultancy. You will support house-building and broader development schemes, guiding schemes from inception to completion and ensuring alignment with technical approvals and client needs. You will collaborate with design teams and clients to deliver robust infrastructure solutions and communicate technical concepts clearly. This is an opportunity to shape delivery on high-profile construction projects while developing specialist Civil Engineering skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work on schemes from inception to completion across drainage, highways, and other infrastructure
  • Apply knowledge of S104, S38, and S278 approval processes
  • Collaborate with design team members and clients through the design process
  • Deliver infrastructure elements from technical approval to delivery
  • Prepare reports and communicate findings effectively
  • Contribute to high-quality civil infrastructure design across jobs in the Newcastle area

Key requirements

  • Civil engineering qualification
  • Previous design experience in the civils sector
  • Excellent report writing, communication and numerical skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Micro Drainage; good SUDs knowledge
  • Experience delivering infrastructure aspects of projects from both technical and client perspectives
  • Experience in the house building sector
  • Knowledge of all approval processes including S104, S38 and S278
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Team collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders
  • Client liaison and presentation skills
