Overview
You will join Radius’s Cyber Security team to protect systems, networks, and data from threats. Based in Crewe, you will help mature SOC processes, support ISMS alignment with ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus, and collaborate across IT and business functions to strengthen security. You’ll detect threats, respond to incidents, and drive secure design in cloud and software projects. This role offers hands-on impact in a fast-paced security environment with cross-functional influence.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with IT Operations and business units to implement and optimise security controls across internal and customer-facing platforms
- Identify cyber risks and control deficiencies; propose remediation to reduce risk
- Support cloud infrastructure security and secure by design practices
- Integrate security requirements into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Create and maintain security policies, standards, and technical documentation
- Monitor security events, perform threat detection and incident response to minimise impact
- Lead vulnerability management activities including assessment and tracking of remediation
- Conduct threat intelligence research and recommend security improvements
- Coordinate with third-party security vendors and MSPs to enhance security operations
- Lead security projects to improve resilience and compliance posture
- Contribute to security monitoring, detection, and response capabilities across the organisation
- Assist with risk assessments, audits, and implementation of controls aligned to frameworks and standards
Key requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of cyber security across technology environments
- Experience with vulnerability management, penetration testing, and risk-driven remediation
- Experience with EDR, NDR and SIEM technologies and security monitoring
- Understanding of incident response processes (triage, containment, recovery)
- Knowledge of Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001
- Solid understanding of Windows and Linux, networks, servers, virtualization, databases, web servers, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls
- Cloud security experience, preferably AWS, including IAM and monitoring
- Knowledge of DLP, data security, software supply-chain risk
- Understanding of secure architecture, WAFs, IAM and network security principles
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and NIST CSF
- Strong analytical, documentation and stakeholder communication skills
- ITIL/service management principles and ability to prioritise multiple activities
