Overview

As Data Product & Analytics Engineering Senior Manager, you will lead a four-person Analytics Engineering team and own the roadmap for analytical data products. You’ll shape data capabilities, coordinate delivery across multiple teams, and ensure solutions align with our target architecture. You’ll translate business problems into scalable data products while guiding engineers and collaborating with stakeholders. This role blends data product management, engineering leadership, and data architecture to support Moneybox’s data-driven fintech mission.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Analytics Engineering team across levels.
  • Provide technical direction and foster ownership of design and implementation.
  • Drive modelling and architecture decisions to align with the target data architecture.
  • Coach engineers on technical and business problem understanding and data product ownership.
  • Own and prioritise the Analytics Engineering roadmap (data models, marts, metrics, architecture).
  • Deliver end-to-end data products from discovery to ongoing ownership.
  • Coordinate dependencies across Product Engineering, Data Engineering, Insights and Reporting; anticipate upstream ingestion needs.
  • Assess stakeholder requests to determine if solutions are new attributes, models, or enhancements.

Key requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture and analytical data modelling.
  • Experience with dbt and cloud platforms (Databricks, Snowflake or equivalent).
  • Experience leading or mentoring Data/Analytics Engineers.
  • Understanding of the full data lifecycle from ingestion to consumption.
  • Experience managing roadmaps and prioritising competing requirements.
  • Strong ability to communicate with engineers and senior business stakeholders.
