IT Project Resource Manager

Overview

In this role you drive resource planning and utilisation within the Professional Services team, ensuring engineers are effectively staffed and delivery workloads are visible. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project staffing, budgeting, risk management, and client communications in a fast-paced tech environment. You will enable efficient projects across various industries, contributing to on-time delivery and customer outcomes. This is a hands-on position for a proactive resource professional who helps scale operations and support business growth.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, execution and delivery of IT projects across multiple workstreams
• Manage resource allocation and capacity planning to optimise utilisation
• Track budgets, monitor risks and provide status updates to stakeholders
• Facilitate clear customer communications and stakeholder relationships
• Produce operational reports and insights to support decision-making
• Collaborate with delivery teams to align staffing with project timelines

Key requirements

• Experience in IT Resource Management, Workforce Planning, Project Coordination, PMO or Professional Services Operations
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
• Experience managing multiple workstreams and competing demands
• Excellent stakeholder communication and relationship-building abilities
• Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting utilisation, capacity and performance data
• Commercial awareness and ability to produce operational reports
• Experience in IT Services, Managed Services or Professional Services environments (advantageous)
