In this role you will help ensure responsible data use at Heathrow by assessing how governance controls operate and turning findings into clear actions. You will collaborate with data, technology, cyber security, legal, procurement and data protection teams to embed effective governance across the organisation. You will contribute to Heathrow’s mission to become a premier digitally, data- and AI-driven airport, solving governance challenges at scale. Responsibilities
- Analyse governance and controls to identify risks and actionable recommendations
- Support policy, standards, procedures and guidance implementation across stakeholders
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams and communicate findings clearly
- Understand modern data environments including cloud platforms and governance tooling
- Be aware of regulatory and governance requirements (UK GDPR, DPA 2018, NIS2, ISO 27001, ISO/IEC 42001, EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF)
- Drive adoption of governance policies, standards and operating procedures across the organisation
- Assess AI use cases to ensure responsible deployment in line with regulatory and ethical requirements
- Own governance-related change activities, including stakeholder engagement and adoption of controls
- Articulate the business value of data and AI governance beyond compliance
Key requirements
- Experience supporting data governance, information governance, cyber governance, AI governance, compliance or assurance capabilities
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and governance tooling
- Understanding of data management practices and AI governance methodologies
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as UK GDPR, DPA 2018, NIS2, ISO 27001, ISO/IEC 42001, EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF
- Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and communicate findings in accessible language
- Desirable: experience in aviation, transport, critical national infrastructure or other regulated environments
