CIVIL ENGINEER

Overview

In this role you will contribute to a growing portfolio of civil infrastructure projects from planning through to completion. You will design roads, drainage and external works for public and private realms, collaborating with a cross-disciplinary team to deliver value-driven solutions. The position sits in the Transport & Infrastructure group within an established consultancy that supports development across the UK. You will liaise with authorities and stakeholders to progress projects and improve drainage outcomes, with opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities

• Preliminary and detailed design of roads, levels, drainage and external works for public and private realms
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on delivering through planning to commissioning
• Liaise with planning authorities, statutory undertakers and national bodies
• Carry out Flood Risk Assessments, Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems, Foul/Storm Water Drainage and Hydraulic Modelling

Key requirements

• Proficient using Flow or InfoDrainage
• Understanding multi-disciplinary project needs from planning through completion
• Experience liaising with planning authorities, statutory bodies and Environment Agency
• Experience with Flood Risk Assessments, SuDS, drainage design and hydraulic modelling

• Communication with internal and external stakeholders
