Overview

In this role you will lead and deliver the underwriting audit function, shaping a strong control environment and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with Underwriting Heads and senior leaders to drive governance, risk management and timely audit outputs. You will develop the audit team and continuously improve processes, contributing to CNA Hardy’s mission to protect businesses and livelihoods. Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver the underwriting audit plan with robust controls and timely execution
  • Manage, develop and oversee the underwriting audit team and performance
  • Embed and monitor governance frameworks ensuring regulatory, legal and internal standard compliance
  • Build and manage relationships with underwriting heads and senior stakeholders
  • Provide clear audit outputs, track actions and report to committees and leadership teams

Key requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing audit or underwriting teams
  • Strong governance, controls and regulatory compliance experience in a regulated environment
  • Solid understanding of underwriting systems, processes, rulebooks and control structures
  • Good understanding of the insurance market; Lloyd’s market experience is beneficial
  • Proven experience in underwriting audit, compliance, or technical commercial insurance
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to influence at senior levels
