Overview

In this role you lead technical service for BMS installations across a regional portfolio, delivering maintenance, fault resolution and commissioning excellence. You will work independently and with project teams to optimise systems and support upgrades, helping customers run smarter, energy-efficient buildings. The role centers on building strong client relationships and advising on OpenBlue-enabled cloud-connected technologies. This is a mobile position focused around Glasgow, combining field work with career development at a global leader in smart building tech.

Responsibilities

  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance on BMS and control systems
  • Diagnose faults and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Configure and commission controllers and network devices
  • Modify software and maintain accurate system documentation
  • Produce service reports and recommendations
  • Build strong customer relationships and act as trusted advisor
  • Support upgrade and lifecycle projects
  • Project design and commissioning
  • Collaborate with project managers to deliver projects
  • Promote OpenBlue and cloud-connected building technologies
  • Maintain health, safety and compliance standards

Key requirements

  • Experience in BMS, Building Controls or Automation
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Customer-facing service experience
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to work independently and on out-of-hours callout rota
  • HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (desirable)
  • Experience with Johnson Controls Metasys systems (advantageous)
