Finance Manager

Overview

In this Finance Manager role, you will oversee the finance function across a growing property investment portfolio. You will work closely with directors to support growth and investment decisions, delivering accurate financial reporting and robust cash flow forecasts. You’ll provide strategic financial insight to inform acquisitions, capital expenditure, and distributions. This position offers ownership of the finance function within a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping across multiple property entities
• Manage accounting records using Xero or similar cloud-based software
• Prepare and submit VAT returns
• Produce monthly management accounts and financial statements
• Prepare regular financial reports for directors
• Liaise with external accountants and professional advisers
• Ensure financial records are accurate, compliant and up to date
• Prepare and maintain detailed cash flow forecasts across the portfolio
• Monitor liquidity, funding requirements and business performance
• Advise directors on available funds for acquisitions and capex
• Support debt management and financing requirements
• Provide recommendations on shareholder distributions and investment planning
• Analyse financial performance across the property portfolio
• Identify financial risks, opportunities and trends
• Support acquisition appraisals and investment decision-making
• Assist with budgeting and financial planning
• Help improve financial systems, controls and reporting processes

Key requirements

• ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualified or equivalent practical experience
• Strong accounting and bookkeeping experience
• Experience producing monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Excellent cash flow forecasting and financial planning experience
• Strong knowledge of Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software
• Experience preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Experience managing finance functions across multiple entities
• Ability to interpret financial information and provide commercial recommendations
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders
• Must be within a commutable distance of NW11
