Product Manager – Energy Billing (Fluent French & English)

Overview

As Product Manager for Billing in London, you will lead the French localisation of our global energy billing platform. You’ll translate regulatory and market needs into concrete requirements, shaping the billing journey from meter read to bill. Collaborating with global teams, clients, and in-country experts, you’ll drive compliant, user-focused billing experiences. This role offers impact across a core product domain and opportunities to influence regulation-aligned product strategy. You’ll work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment that values collaboration and pragmatic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead localisation for the French Billing Module to meet regulatory and market needs
• Translate complex French regulatory text into actionable product requirements
• Define features for country-specific billing needs (meter reads, invoice formats, taxation, payment methods, reporting)
• Collaborate with engineering, UX, QA to implement and test localized billing functionalities
• Coordinate with global teams and in-country experts to align on scope and roadmap
• Monitor French energy legislation and market practices to keep the product compliant and competitive
• Serve as the go-to expert on French market nuances related to energy billing and customer journeys
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to clarify needs, negotiate scope, and shape the roadmap
• Demonstrate autonomy with a builder mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and rapid learning
• Leverage AI tools across the product lifecycle to support discovery, delivery, and iteration

Key requirements

• Proven PM experience with localization of software products for international markets
• Strong understanding of end-to-end B2C billing lifecycle (meter data, tariffs, invoicing, debt management)
• Experience in regulated markets where billing is complex (energy, telecoms, financial services)
• Familiarity with the French energy market concepts (ERE, CRE, tariffs) is advantageous
• Ability to translate regulatory text into clear, actionable requirements for developers
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, legal, operations, client success)
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and market audiences
• Proficiency with AI tools across product lifecycle and ability to interrogate data models/code when needed
• Fluent in French and English (spoken and written)
