FinOps Principal Consultant

Overview

In this role you will maximise the value of client cloud investments by blending technology, finance, and business strategy. You will lead strategic FinOps engagements, deliver data-driven recommendations, and help grow our FinOps practice through mentoring and client success. You will work across engineering, finance, and business teams to improve cost visibility and governance. Responsibilities

• Lead strategic FinOps engagements and facilitate workshops for stakeholders at all levels
• Assess cloud spend, identify cost drivers, and deliver actionable optimisation strategies
• Analyse cloud consumption and financial data to uncover insights and drive savings
• Develop and mature clients’ FinOps capabilities, operating models, and governance frameworks
• Build trusted client relationships and manage complex engagements with escalations
• Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, finance, and applications teams
• Contribute to business development, solution design, and evolution of FinOps offerings

Key requirements

• Demonstrated FinOps expertise in complex enterprise cloud environments
• Solid knowledge of cloud vendor commercial models, contracts, and financial management across Azure and AWS
• Analytical mindset with experience in reporting/visualisation to translate data into insights
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Collaborative and self-driven with mentoring ability
• Structured problem-solver with high emotional intelligence
• Mandatory certification: Finops Practitioner
• At least two of: AWS Cloud Practitioner or Cloud Economics; Microsoft Azure Fundamentals; GCP Digital Leader
