Overview
In this role you shape the technical direction of BCG’s Legal function, driving transformation across contract lifecycle, conflicts clearance, and compliance. You will connect legal strategy with technical execution, aligning platforms, teams, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, technology-enabled risk management. You lead with both breadth and depth in legal technology programs and manage cross-functional teams and vendor relationships. This is a platform-wide, impact-driven position at the intersection of law, AI, and enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities
- Define technical operating model for the Legal function and set standards/architecture for delivery
- Oversee major legal tech programs (CLM, conflicts, knowledge management, eDiscovery, matter management, AI) and drive alignment across ecosystems
- Lead legal technology chapters and manage vendor relationships across engineering, AI, data, QA, and operations
- Ensure compliance with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements; liaise with enterprise architecture, risk, security, and governance
- Coordinate with Legal Portfolio to deliver on strategy, portfolio-wide resourcing, and capability development
- Monitor trends in legal tech and agentic AI to identify opportunities and inform roadmaps
- Escalate cross-team issues and ensure timely resolution; ensure continuity across teams and systems
- Align legal tech with product and IT standards and ensure cohesive operation across platforms
Key requirements
- 12+ years of senior technical leadership experience in a complex, matrixed organization (professional services, regulated industries, or consulting)
- Proven track record delivering complex Legal/Risk/KYC technology products and programs
- Experience directing agentic AI and LLM-based systems in production (multi-agent orchestration, RAG, governance)
- Strong knowledge of CLM, conflicts clearing, matter management, knowledge management, and emerging AI platforms
- Experience with cloud providers, serverless technologies, and large-scale development programs
- Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, iterative delivery) and servant leadership
- Strong judgment in complex technology environments
- Excellent communication with senior leadership
- Cross-functional collaboration across Legal, IT, risk, and business
