Overview
In this role you will develop and codify maintenance strategies and standards, using SAP data to support decision-making. You will work with Risk, Data Analysts and the Water Services team to enable the creation of new maintenance standards and ensure changes deliver expected benefits. You will influence capital planning, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement across asset management. The role combines technical maintenance expertise with cross-functional collaboration in a regional utility setting.

Responsibilities
- Develop and codify maintenance strategies, technical guidance notes, standards and tasks in the Asset Maintenance database and related SAP data tables
- Lead the investigation and assessment of maintenance related proposals and recommendations and submit validated ones to the Water Supply approval group
- Manage the communication of new, revised or reviewed maintenance documentation to stakeholders
- Manage the maintenance review process to ensure continuous improvement based on field experience and asset data
- Communicate new or changed maintenance activities to stakeholders
- Inform other stakeholders on suitable monitoring of performance post-change to ensure benefits delivery
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align maintenance with operational needs
- Inform capital planning and procurement decisions through strategic recommendations
Key requirements
- University Degree in Engineering (Desirable)
- HND / HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Desirable)
- Extensive experience of equipment from design, maintenance, or operational perspective
- Knowledge of Safety Management – Permit to Work, Hazard & Risk Assessment, Environmental Protection and basic HSE regulations
- Proficient in SAP and other maintenance systems
- Skilled in application of root cause analysis
- Experience in utilities, oil & gas, or similar sectors (Desirable)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Willingness to travel across the Anglian Water region
