Overview
In this role you will lead end-to-end cost management for high-profile infrastructure commissions in London, acting as the primary client interface to deliver value-driven cost management services. You enable feasibility, procurement, cost planning, and post-contract reporting while coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team. You will shape cost strategies, manage complex contracts, and seek new business opportunities to expand Turner & Townsend’s footprint in major programmes.
Responsibilities
- Lead commission management across feasibility, cost planning, procurement, and post-contract cost control
- Oversee and present final cost plans and ensure timely monthly cost reporting
- Manage procurement processes and contract preparation, including pre-qualification and supplier analysis
- Ensure effective cost checking, valuation, and change control at all project stages
- Lead cost management teams when appropriate and mentor junior staff
- Interface with clients and other consultants to align on objectives and value delivery
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and cross-selling options
- Drive improvements to cost management procedures, templates, and tools
Key requirements
- Proven cost/commercial management experience
- MRICS preferred
- Experience with NEC3 contracts (Option C – Target Cost)
- Post-contract administration experience
