Overview
In this role you will lead end-to-end cost management on high-profile London infrastructure work. You will be the main client interface, delivering value-add services from feasibility through to final accounts. You’ll apply value management, supervise cost planning and procurement, and drive post-contract reporting and change control. You’ll also mentor a cost management team and help win new business with cross-sell opportunities. This is a shaping-role for large, complex programmes in a global advisory firm.

Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies and procurement reporting
- Lead cost planning, estimating and final cost plan ownership
- Manage procurement stages and contract preparation
- Oversee post-contract cost variances, change control and cost checking/valuation
- Produce monthly post-contract cost reports for clients
- Lead value engineering and lifecycle costing
- Negotiate and agree final accounts
- Interface with client and other consultants across project stages
- Lead a cost management team when applicable
- Develop new business opportunities and cross-selling with existing/new clients
- Suggest improvements to cost management procedures and templates
- Staff management and resource planning (where appropriate)
- Knowledge management and sharing insights
Key requirements
- Proven cost/commercial management experience
- NEC3 contracts experience (Option C – Target Cost)
- Post-contract administration experience
- Experience on major programmes and infrastructure projects
- Experience in leading and managing teams
- MRICS (preferred)
