Risk Manager – Infrastructure

Overview

As a Risk Manager in our London Infrastructure team, you will implement and operate an integrated risk framework across a major capital programme. You will identify threats, opportunities and issues, monitor risk triggers and inform investment planning. You’ll manage risk responses, assess residual positions and coordinate with contractors to align client-held and contractor-held risks. This role offers scope to influence contingency levels and drive proactive risk management on high-profile projects.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate identification, assessment and prioritisation of threats, opportunities and issues within the sub-programme
• Maintain visibility of risk trigger points to support risk cost profiling and budget management
• Assist with recording measurable management responses and evaluating post-mitigation positions
• Monitor overall risk exposure against the remaining risk budget
• Proactively advance completion of management responses to deliver target positions
• Collaborate with contractors to align risk views affecting client and project delivery
• Produce timely risk reports to communicate threat and opportunity status
• Conduct quantitative risk assessment (cost and schedule) to inform contingencies
• Utilise tools for probabilistic modelling and risk analysis (e.g., PRA, @risk) and web-based databases

Key requirements

• Qualitative and quantitative risk assessment skills
• Experience in integrated risk management (risk, cost, schedule) on large programmes
• Risk workshop facilitation and threat mitigation abilities
• Probabilistic modelling proficiency with tools like @risk, PRA or P6
• Proven risk delivery experience on major infrastructure programmes
• APM/IRM risk certification preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Degree qualified in a construction-related subject preferred
