Overview

In this role you will join Irwin Mitchell’s Birmingham Private Client Dispute Resolution team to handle high-value, contentious private client disputes. You will work on complex matters across the UK and contribute to a nationally recognised practice. You’ll advise on probate, trust and estate disputes, with opportunities to grow your expertise alongside experienced specialists. Responsibilities

  • Advise on a broad range of contentious private client matters
  • Handle inheritance act claims, challenges to wills, and trust disputes
  • Manage estate administration disputes and Court of Protection-related issues
  • Address other complex private client disputes as they arise
  • Collaborate with senior specialists to develop expertise and contribute to team growth

Key requirements

  • Qualification as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive in England & Wales
  • Experience advising on contentious probate, trust and estate disputes
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and provide high-quality advice
  • Strong client relationship skills with clear, practical communication
  • Effective negotiation, dispute resolution and case management skills
