Project Controls Manager – Aviation

Overview

In this role you will lead the programme controls function across major infrastructure projects in London and the South East, ensuring accurate plans, cost, safety, environment and performance reporting. You will establish and maintain GRIP-aligned control processes at territory and project levels, coordinating with planning and delivery teams. You will review project remits, forecast resource needs, and provide efficient day-to-day reporting to Programme and Project Managers. Responsibilities

• Lead programme controls across infrastructure projects and ensure accurate plans, cost, safety, environment, and performance reporting
• Establish GRIP-compliant control processes at territory/project level as directed by Programme Controller
• Review new project proposals/remits and develop realistic resource plans
• Identify resourcing requirements and liaise with planning to resolve issues
• Provide day-to-day reporting support to Programme and Project Managers on plans, costs, safety, environment, and performance
• Ensure data input to cost and performance systems meets required standards
• Produce and manage the Investment Plan
• Comply with the Investment Competence Framework

Key requirements

• Experience in planning and scheduling, including schedule development, control, and analysis
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with PC operating systems and Microsoft Office
• Experience with Primavera (P6) and other discipline-specific software
• Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction and start-up processes
• Knowledge of engineering and construction management
