Overview

In this role you will own a defined area of Zopa’s Unsecured Personal Loans growth roadmap, turning signals into a clear product strategy and delivering measurable outcomes. You will work closely with Engineering, Credit Risk, and Data Science to shape origination and decisioning experiences that boost growth and clarity for customers. You will explore opportunities to improve conversion, eligibility, and partner journeys, translating data into decisions senior stakeholders can rally behind. This role blends data-driven product management with cross-functional discovery to move Zopa toward becoming the UK’s leading unsecured lender.

Responsibilities

  • Own a defined area of the UPL growth roadmap from sizing to launch and iteration
  • Translate commercial and customer signals into a focused product strategy
  • Shape origination and decisioning experiences, including rules, journeys and data behind loan offers
  • Lead cross-functional discovery with Engineering, Credit Risk and Data Science to identify valuable growth paths
  • Develop propositions that give customers clarity before full application
  • Decide scope and sequencing balancing value, risk, commercial return and engineering effort
  • Use data to identify friction, validate hypotheses and measure impact
  • Introduce new growth ideas via existing or external data and partner opportunities
  • Translate complex lending and technical problems into decisions that senior stakeholders can align behind
  • Build, launch and improve products to move toward leading the unsecured lender position

Key requirements

  • Analytical with strong data-driven decision making
  • Track record of product decisions delivering measurable commercial outcomes
  • Ability to partner with engineers on scope and timelines
  • Comfort with ambiguous problems and practical progress
  • Clear communication with senior stakeholders across technical and risk teams
  • Motivation by growth, efficiency and business impact

  • quantitative foundation through study or equivalent experience (added bonus)
