Overview
You will lead the founding Chief Executive role for NWL PCPC, shaping strategy, culture and partnerships to advance primary care across a major health system. You’ll build the executive team, governance and operating model from the ground up, acting as a credible voice for primary care and driving system-wide improvement. The role offers high impact, influence across stakeholders, and a unique opportunity to transform services for local communities. This is a senior, mission-driven leadership position with a strong emphasis on inclusion, governance and sustainability.

Responsibilities
- Lead strategic and operational development of the Collaborative, translating ambition into delivery.
- Drive transformation of primary care that is evidence-led and frontline-focused.
- Establish and lead a high-performing executive team and foster an inclusive, values-led culture.
- Build trusted relationships with shareholder organisations and system partners to strengthen influence.
- Identify growth opportunities through new services, partnerships and functions.
- Mobilise new responsibilities transferred to the Collaborative withCapability and resilience.
- Ensure effective financial stewardship, performance management and prudent use of public resources.
- Represent the Collaborative externally as an ambassador across forums.
- Champion innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement to meet changing health-system needs.
Key requirements
- Significant executive-level leadership experience in a complex organisation.
- Proven track record in organizational development, transformation or growth in healthcare or similar sector.
- Experience building partnerships across boundaries and influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority.
- Experience mobilising and aligning complex health organisations with pace and strategic coherence.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery in evolving environments.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen (NHS contracting, procurement, business case development, funding).
- Experience managing financial, organisational and reputational risk with substantial budgets.
- Understanding or interest in primary care contracting (GMS, PMS, APMS, ARRS, Network DES, Enhanced Services).
