Overview
In this role, you will act as the key commercial interface for complex PFI/PPP contracts with public sector clients, safeguarding contract profitability and mitigating risk. You will work closely with the Director of Services, SPV, and technical leads to drive growth and manage lifecycle projects. You will lead commercial governance, change control, and strategic reporting to executive stakeholders. This is a high-impact position at a market-leading facilities management business.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the trusted commercial point of contact for the SPV and public sector clients, resolving complex queries and managing high-level relationships
- Develop and manage contract-specific risk registers and oversee commercial governance across operations
- Formulate and execute commercial strategies for mandatory market testing and benchmarking, negotiating with clients
- Own end-to-end change control processes, including pricing and variations, and oversee commercial models for lifecycle projects
- Lead commercial strategy on material disputes with legal and operations, review supplier terms and align contracts with clients
- Identify and execute commercial strategies to drive organic growth, margin improvement, and efficiency
- Deliver data-driven commercial reporting, financial forecasts, and progress updates to the Director of Services and executives
Key requirements
- Extensive commercial management experience in complex PFI/PPP environments and public sector facilities management contracts
- Strong contract interpretation, change control workflows, risk registers, and dispute resolution capabilities
- Proven track record in variation pricing, lifecycle/minor works oversight, and supplier negotiations
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to brief and advise senior operational leaders and negotiate with SPVs
