Overview

In this Mobile Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer role, you service and repair vehicle refrigeration and air conditioning systems across the Midlands. You will work remotely, managing field tasks and ensuring high service standards for customers. The position emphasizes practical diagnostics, efficient job scheduling, and accurate digital records for invoicing and compliance. You will also support apprentices and represent the company professionally, contributing to reliable transport refrigeration services.

Responsibilities

• Manage van stock to ensure timely service delivery
• Perform daily safety checks on company vehicle
• Coordinate with management on job scheduling, downtime, and customer orders
• Complete paperwork and digital records for invoicing and compliance
• Support apprentices or trainee engineers when required
• Maintain excellent customer service and professional company representation

Key requirements

• Experience in mobile refrigeration, transport refrigeration, or vehicle air conditioning engineering
• Experience in refrigeration, air conditioning, or mechanical engineering
• F-Gas certification
• C&G qualification or equivalent in an engineering discipline
• IT literacy (Microsoft Office, handheld PDA systems)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
