Overview

In this role you will manage the post-award commercial for a high-volume portfolio of Fire & Security installation projects, safeguarding profitability and cash flow. You will work within a close-knit commercial team in Oldham to drive commercial governance, cost control and final accounts. The opportunity offers long-term development in a collaborative, supportive environment with major food retail clients. A fast-paced setting with impact across project commercial performance awaits you.

Pay / Benefits

  • £55,000 basic salary
  • Car allowance £5,700
  • 10% annual bonus
  • Permanent contract

Responsibilities

  • Review contract terms to identify risks and obligations
  • Set up and manage commercial aspects after contract award
  • Place and manage subcontractor and supplier orders
  • Monitor costs, profitability, and cash flow
  • Manage variations and recover additional works
  • Produce monthly commercial reports and forecasts
  • Support debt recovery and reduce WIP exposure
  • Prepare and agree final accounts
  • Collaborate with operations to maximise commercial performance
  • Ensure governance and compliance across projects

Key requirements

  • Experience as Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in a contractor environment
  • Strong contract administration and commercial management experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a high-volume workload
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercial awareness with focus on profitability and risk management
  • Experience producing final accounts and managing project financial performance
