Legal Executive Conveyancing
We are seeking an organised, proactive, and motivated Legal Executive to join our busy Conveyancing team at our Lisburn Road, Belfast office.
The successful candidate will work closely with one of the firm’s Conveyancing Solicitors, providing essential support throughout the conveyancing process and helping to ensure transactions progress efficiently from instruction through to completion. The role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing administrative and file management support to a Conveyancing Solicitor.
- Assisting with the management of a caseload of residential conveyancing matters, including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and other property transactions.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors via telephone, email, and face-to-face communication.
- Opening, maintaining, and closing client files in accordance with firm procedures.
- Preparing correspondence, legal documents, and transaction-related paperwork.
- Conducting Landweb searches and registrations, property searches, and raising enquiries as required.
- Assisting with anti-money laundering (AML) and compliance procedures.
- Preparing bills and supporting financial administration associated with conveyancing transactions.
- Scheduling client appointments and coordinating meetings.
- Managing the scanning, printing, electronic filing, and storage of documents.
- Handling incoming and outgoing post.
- Providing clients with regular updates and ensuring a high standard of client care throughout the conveyancing process.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience within a conveyancing, legal executive, or legal support role.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional and client-focused approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
- Experience of Landweb and knowledge of residential conveyancing procedures would be advantageous.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.
