DescriptionWe are hiring for our client, an award-winning construction and civil engineering contractor, to appoint a Site Engineer in the East Midlands. This Site Engineer job offers the chance to take ownership of key engineering aspects on new housing and commercial developments, working alongside the Site Manager and a supportive wider team. The Role
Read and interpret construction drawings, communicating layouts and material measurements clearly on site
Carry out accurate setting out and surveying
Follow the site programme and help ensure deadlines are met
Co-ordinate subcontractors, materials and works for smooth delivery
Maintain site records, ITPs and as-built drawings
Uphold SHEQ standards and the Integrated Management System
Guide and develop colleagues while building strong subcontractor relationships
The Person
Third level qualification in Construction Engineering and Management, or similar
3+ years’ experience as a site engineer on residential builds, ideally with some commercial exposure
Proficient in numeracy and IT, including MS packages
Full, valid driving licence and relevant site cards
Deadline driven, with the initiative to take accountability for a project from start to finish
