Electrical Design Manager
Our client is seeking an Electrical Design Manager to lead the electrical engineering function within a specialist engineering and manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will oversee the design and development of ground support equipment, guide projects from concept through production, and provide technical leadership across a growing portfolio of products and improvement programmes.
Based in Tyrone, this permanent role offers the opportunity to work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, sales and after sales teams. The position provides broad exposure to complex product development, technical governance and continuous improvement within a dynamic operational setting.

The Role:
* Lead the electrical engineering team and allocate resources across multiple projects.* Oversee projects from development and detailed design through validation and production release.* Approve electrical designs, drawings, calculations and technical documentation.* Ensure compliance with relevant standards, including EN12312, EN1915 and Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.* Collaborate with manufacturing, mechanical engineering, supply chain, sales and after sales teams.* Drive design standardisation, value engineering, manufacturability and process improvement.
The Person:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.* Significant experience designing electrical systems for heavy equipment, vehicles or mobile machinery in a manufacturing or OEM environment.* Seven or more years of engineering leadership experience.* Strong 2D and 3D CAD experience, including platforms such as EPlan, SolidWorks Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical.* Experience managing projects across the full product development lifecycle.* Strong technical judgement, communication, organisational and leadership skills.
