Job Description n Lead MERN Developer n Leeds or Halifax, West Yorkshire n £350 per day (inside IR35) n We’re supporting a major organisation in the search for a Lead MERN Developer to join a high-performing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong leader who enjoys balancing hands-on development with team leadership and stakeholder management responsibilities. n You’ll play a key role in delivering modern, scalable applications while helping to guide a small team of developers and engaging with a broad range of business and technology stakeholders. n We are pleased to offer this role on a hybrid basis with 2 days required at either their Leeds or Halifax offices. This will be an initial 6-month contract with potential of extension thereafter. n Responsibilities n n Lead and mentor a small team of developers, promoting engineering best practices and high-quality delivery. n Act as a key technical point of contact for stakeholders across the business. n Remain hands-on, contributing to architecture, design, development and code reviews. n Build and maintain modern web applications using React, Node.js and TypeScript. n Work closely with product, delivery and engineering teams to deliver business-critical solutions. n Drive a quality-first approach through automated testing and continuous improvement. n n Required Skills & Experience n n Strong commercial experience with TypeScript . n Proven expertise in React and Node.js development. n Experience leading development teams whilst remaining technically hands-on. n Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. n Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP . n Unit testing experience using Jest and React Testing Library . n Experience working within agile software development environments. n Automated testing experience using Playwright . n Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices. n Experience designing and delivering scalable cloud-native solutions. n
