Job Description n Preventative Maintenance Engineer (Nationwide) n £180 per night shift (Outside IR35) | 4-6 Week Project | Immediate Start n We are looking for 6 Field Engineers to support a nationwide preventative maintenance programme across multiple retail locations. n Areas Required n n Scotland & North East n Yorkshire & East Midlands n North West & West Midlands n South Wales, South West & South Coast n London, South East & East Anglia n Northern Ireland n n The Role n Working night shifts, you will visit one retail site per shift and carry out preventative maintenance activities on a variety of IT and EPOS equipment. Duties will include cleaning and inspecting handheld devices, printers, tills, self-scan units, scales and associated hardware, ensuring equipment remains in good working condition. n You will also complete communications room audits, including checking server serial numbers, removing identified Legacy equipment, fitting supplied components, cleaning cabinet areas, creating cabinet maps and capturing photographic evidence. n Engineers will be responsible for accurately recording asset information, reporting damaged or unavailable equipment, documenting any access issues and completing all required project reports through the client’s reporting process. n This is a field-based role requiring a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work independently and confidence using mobile devices or laptops to complete project documentation. n Project Details n n Start Date: 11th October n Duration: Approx. 4-6 weeks n Sunday to Thursday nights n Typically 8:00pm to 4:00am n One site per shift n 5 shifts per week (subject to schedule) n Training provided on first site n n Requirements n n Previous IT, EPOS, field engineering, hardware maintenance or deployment experience preferred n Full UK driving licence and own vehicle n Comfortable working night work and travelling n Able to use a smartphone, tablet or laptop to complete reports and upload photographs n Comfortable working in retail environments and carrying out physical tasks including bending, kneeling and accessing equipment in confined spaces n n Rate & Expenses n n £180 per shift (includes 8 hours onsite and first 75 miles travel) n Mileage over 75 miles paid at 33p per mile n Parking, tolls (excluding M6 Toll), ULEZ and congestion charges claimable where applicable n n Apply today with your CV!
