About Get Up
Get Up Studio is an independent Content & Production Agency working across strategy, production and social.
We’re a small, experienced and hands-on team, working with some of the world’s leading brands and rights holders to develop ideas, create content and connect with audiences.
We deliberately keep Get Up lean. You’ll work directly with the founders of the business and be closely involved in the work itself: not buried beneath layers of agency hierarchy.
Our work ranges from social-first content and campaigns through to documentaries, branded films, content strategy and ongoing social support.
The role
We’re looking for an Editor to join Get Up Studio, creating engaging, platform-specific content for Formula E and supporting the wider team’s post-production work.
This is a fully remote editing role, working with footage supplied by our production team to turn race action, interviews and behind-the-scenes moments into content people want to watch.
You’ll need experience editing social content, a strong instinct for storytelling and pacing, and competent Adobe After Effects skills. We’re looking for someone who can find the story in the rushes, make confident creative choices and deliver polished work to a brief.
What you’ll be doing
Social & Sports Editing
- Edit short-form and mid-form social content, shaping supplied footage into clear, engaging stories.
- Build strong openings, maintain pace and use music, sound and captions to hold attention.
- Tailor edits to each platform, including the right duration, aspect ratio, framing and delivery format.
- Edit race coverage, driver interviews, press conferences, race reactions and VNR (video news release) compilations for broadcast and media syndication.
- Work closely with producers and the wider content team to understand briefs, respond to feedback and deliver on time.
- Bring fresh ideas, references and approaches to the edit, informed by social trends and audience behaviour.
After Effects & Finishing
- Use Adobe After Effects competently to create and adapt titles, motion graphics and animated elements.
- Work with existing graphics packages and templates, keeping animation, typography and branding consistent.
- Integrate graphics into edits cleanly and prepare versions for social, broadcast and media delivery.
- Check picture, sound, captions, spelling and graphics before work goes out, with careful attention to technical specifications.
Workflow & Delivery
- Keep footage, project files, sequences and exports organised so work can be shared and picked up easily.
- Manage multiple edits and feedback rounds, keeping the team informed about progress and deadlines.
- Handle conform, versioning and final delivery accurately, following the required social and broadcast specifications.
- Work effectively with a remote team, flagging missing assets, unclear feedback or delivery risks early.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone with around 2–4 years’ experience editing video content, ideally in sport, and a portfolio that demonstrates strong social editing. Experience editing social content and competent use of After Effects are essential.
You’ll need to be:
- Confident in Adobe Premiere Pro or Davinci Resolve: able to take an edit from supplied footage through to final delivery.
- Competent in Adobe After Effects: comfortable creating and adapting motion graphics and working with existing graphics packages.
- Socially fluent: with hands-on experience editing for social platforms and an understanding of how audiences watch, share and respond to content.
- Editorially strong: with good judgement around story, pace, music, sound and the moments that make an edit work.
- Technically capable: with an understanding of broadcast specifications, conform and delivery requirements.
- Creative and resourceful: able to bring ideas to a brief and solve problems within the edit.
- Organised and dependable: comfortable managing deadlines and keeping projects tidy in a fully remote workflow.
- Calm under pressure: able to work at pace and occasionally at unsociable hours around race coverage and delivery deadlines.
- Collaborative and open to feedback: able to communicate clearly with producers and turn notes into stronger work.
Experience working on motorsport content is required, with an understanding of the racing and the context behind the footage you’re editing.
