Overview

In this role you will provide commercial leadership across a portfolio of contracts, bids and business opportunities, ensuring obligations are met and value is protected. You will collaborate with delivery, sales, legal, procurement and finance to support growth and operational outcomes. The role may stand alone on smaller accounts or support senior managers on larger engagements. It is hybrid, with some presence in Leeds or London and occasional site visits. You will help drive governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement to deliver value for NHS SBS and Sopra Steria.

Responsibilities

  • Commercial and contract management across a portfolio of customer and supplier contracts, ensuring obligations, rights and risks are understood and managed.
  • Bid and business growth support as commercial lead for bids and opportunities, drafting, reviewing and negotiating terms with stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder management and engagement with customers, suppliers and internal teams (finance, legal, procurement, information security, data protection, delivery).
  • Supplier and third-party management to ensure arrangements support business and customer requirements.
  • Governance, risk and compliance to identify, assess and manage risks throughout the lifecycle of bid, contract and delivery.

Key requirements

  • Experience in commercial, contract management, procurement or related business discipline.
  • Experience managing customer and/or supplier contracts through the contract lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting bids, tenders and procurement opportunities.
  • Understanding of contract drafting, review and negotiation processes.
  • Ability to identify, assess and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Ability to interpret contractual terms and communicate practical implications to stakeholders.
  • Experience working within governance and approval frameworks.
