Overview

In this on-site Safety Manager role, you will lead hands-on safety initiatives for a multi-location industrial organization. You’ll partner with local leaders to drive practical safety improvements and ensure regulatory readiness. The role focuses on field-based safety coaching, risk reduction, and incident investigations to support a strong safety culture. You will work closely with operations to translate safety goals into actionable outcomes and measurable improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits, inspections, risk assessments and compliance audits across multiple locations
  • Identify unsafe conditions and collaborate with local leadership to implement corrective actions
  • Develop and deliver practical safety training and reinforce consistent safety expectations
  • Lead or assist with accident/injury/vehicle incident/near-miss/property damage investigations including root-cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Support OSHA compliance, required safety documentation, and regulatory preparedness
  • Track and report key safety metrics and identify trends and improvement opportunities

Key requirements

  • 5 years of progressive, hands-on safety management experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, transportation, logistics, or related industrial environments preferred
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices
  • Fleet safety and DOT compliance experience highly preferred
  • Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, training, and incident investigations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Willingness to work in the field and travel regularly to multiple locations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
