Overview
In this role you will provide technical maintenance and fault-finding for bespoke automated equipment in a manufacturing setting, supporting continuous improvements. You will work in Witney’s clean room environment as part of the Operations Group, ensuring yields and efficiency. You will collaborate with the Projects Team to implement equipment changes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. The role offers exposure to state-of-the-art automation in a fast-growing area, with cross-functional collaboration and strong quality processes. Responsibilities
- Perform Preventive Maintenance on bespoke automated equipment
- Respond to breakdowns and troubleshoot faults promptly
- Monitor equipment performance and impact on process yields and efficiencies
- Provide input to improve processes and maintain quality standards
- Assist Projects Team with equipment changes and implementation
- Work in clean room/controlled environment ensuring compliance with quality systems
- Maintain thorough records as required by quality systems
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and site projects
Key requirements
- Experience of Engineering in a manufacturing environment
- Set-up of precision assemblies, use of machine tools, fault finding and problem solving
- recognised Engineering apprenticeship or higher education qualification
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers and other departments
- Strong record-keeping aligned with quality systems
- Willingness to work 4 on 4 off days/nights pattern
