Overview

In this role, you own key gameplay visuals for a new casual match-3 title, guiding assets from concept to final implementation in Unity. You collaborate with designers, art direction, and the broader team to ensure visuals clearly convey gameplay and enhance player satisfaction. You will shape the visual identity and polish across the asset pipeline, with potential to expand ownership to more match-3 content. This is an opportunity to influence the look, feel, and gameplay readability of a growing mobile project.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualise and develop new match-3 blockers and gameplay elements
  • Collaborate with design to ensure assets support gameplay objectives
  • Present visual solutions to enhance player experience
  • Iterate concepts based on stakeholder feedback
  • Create production-ready 3D assets using Blender for mobile environments
  • Build models, textures, materials and shaders meeting tech and art requirements
  • Prepare assets for integration and animation workflows in Unity
  • Develop in-engine animations including state transitions, destruction sequences, interactive animations, and gameplay feedback
  • Design assets that clearly communicate functionality and maintain visual readability
  • Take ownership of assets from concept through final implementation
  • Contribute to evolving art style through collaboration and feedback-driven process

Key requirements

  • Professional experience as a Game Artist
  • Experience on mobile, casual or free-to-play titles
  • Track record of creating gameplay-focused assets
  • Experience delivering a full production pipeline from concept to implementation
  • Strong proficiency in Blender, Photoshop, Unity
  • Experience creating and implementing 3D assets and in-engine animation workflows
  • Understanding of materials, shaders and asset optimization
  • Knowledge of mobile game art production best practices
  • Self-motivated with ownership
