Overview
In this role you lead Citi’s Digital Technology & Communications for UK, Europe and MEA, guiding multiple RM teams and product specialists. You will shape DT&C strategy, oversee budgeting and governance, and drive cross-border client solutions at scale. You’ll engage senior partners and executives to align technology, communications, and financial services with regional growth. This is a high-impact leadership position within Citi’s global banking ecosystem, offering broad exposure and a path to defining industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Set and execute the regional growth agenda for DT&C aligned with global priorities.
- Shape the DT&C scorecard and influence regional planning, headcount, and resources.
- Drive market expansion by expanding client penetration in high-growth tech sub-sectors and ecosystems.
- Leverage Citi’s global network to connect regional tech clients with international opportunities.
- Act as senior external ambassador and sponsor multi-product transactions across lending, cash management, FX, trade finance, and markets.
- Lead RM teams to anticipate client needs and structure tailored financial solutions.
- Maintain P&L accountability and ensure pricing discipline, revenue growth, and capital efficiency.
- Oversee credit portfolio standards and early risk identification; exercise credit decision-making authority on complex cross-border relationships.
- Maintain strict KYC/AML and regulatory controls; collaborate with risk and compliance functions.
- Lead and develop diverse teams; promote succession planning and a high-performance culture.
- Partner with Markets, TTS, Trade, IB, and Wealth to deliver integrated solutions.
Key requirements
- 15+ years in commercial or corporate banking with track record of revenue impact.
- Full P&L ownership, budgeting, and capital allocation experience.
- 10+ years people management, leading managers and organizational change.
- Deep knowledge of Digital Tech, Communications, SaaS, Digital Media, Telco in UK/Europe/MEA.
- Expertise in corporate lending, credit structuring, cash management, FX, trade finance, and capital markets.
- SCO designation or SCO-track preferred.
- Proven ability to influence across a global matrix, with strong executive presence.
