Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major £200m Extra High Voltage (EHV) cable installation project in Norwich. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role on a nationally significant energy infrastructure scheme that will support the UK’s future power network and energy transition. Working closely with the Project Director, you will lead a multidisciplinary delivery team and be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the project through ECI, construction and through to completion.We are looking for a proven project leader with the capability to manage large-scale, complex infrastructure projects and inspire high-performing teams.,

  • Significant experience operating as a Senior Project Manager, Project Manager or equivalent leadership role on major infrastructure projects.
  • Previous experience delivering EHV cable, transmission, utilities, power, energy or large-scale civil engineering projects.
  • A strong background working for a Tier 1 contractor within the civil engineering, energy or infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary delivery teams on a similar scale.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets, forecasting, change control and programme performance.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
  • A detailed understanding of construction management, project controls and risk management.
  • Sound knowledge of CDM Regulations and the implementation of safe systems of work.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to perform effectively within a fast-paced and challenging project environment.

Ideally you will also possess:

  • Experience delivering National Grid, transmission, cable installation or major energy infrastructure projects.
  • Relevant engineering, construction or project management qualifications.
  • A track record of successfully delivering large-scale civil engineering or utility projects from inception to completion.
