As Assistant Principal: Teaching & Learning, you will support the Vice Principal for Quality ofEducation in securing consistently high standards of teaching and learning across New RoadAcademy. This is a visible, practice-facing leadership role with a strong focus on improving classroompractice, developing staff expertise and strengthening outcomes for pupils.
The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day implementation, monitoring and ongoingrefinement of the academy’s Instructional Coaching programme, ensuring coaching cycles arepurposeful, consistent and impactful. You will work closely with teachers, instructional coaches,middle leaders, ECTs and trainee teachers to embed evidence-informed approaches and promote aprofessional culture rooted in deliberate practice, reflection and continual improvement.
You will champion the consistent implementation of the LCT Learning Framework, support deliveryof the Trust Literacy Strategy and coordinate professional development across the academy in linewith academy and Trust priorities. You will model exemplary classroom practice, maintain an opendoor classroom culture and support colleagues to refine routines, instructional strategies,assessment practice and approaches to literacy.
We are looking for a qualified teacher with a sustained and successful record of high-qualityclassroom practice, strong understanding of curriculum, pedagogy and assessment, anddemonstrable experience of improving teaching and learning through coaching, mentoring orprofessional development. You will be organised, reflective and professionally credible, with theability to inspire confidence and build a culture of continual professional growth.
