Rather than simply policing Health & Safety, we’re looking for someone who can provide practical, commercially sensible advice, improve existing processes and help build an even stronger safety culture across the business.
You’ll have genuine scope to influence how HS&E is managed and introduce new ideas and improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and continually improve the company’s HS&E strategy, policies and procedures
Carry out site inspections, audits and Health & Safety reviews
Review and support RAMS, risk assessments and safe systems of work
Advise Project Managers and site teams on practical Health & Safety solutions
Support Construction Phase Plans and CDM compliance
Monitor subcontractor and supply chain Health & Safety standards
Lead or support investigations into accidents, incidents and near misses
Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, briefings and safety communications
Identify training requirements and maintain competency records
Maintain company accreditations and compliance systems
Support the development of an ISO 45001-aligned management system
Monitor HS&E performance and recommend improvements
Keep the business updated on relevant legislation and industry best practice
About You
You’ll ideally have Health & Safety experience within construction, engineering, electrical contracting, M&E, building services, energy or renewables.
You should be confident working both on-site and with senior management and comfortable challenging unsafe practices while maintaining positive working relationships.
Essential
NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
Previous Health & Safety experience within construction, engineering or a related environment
Good knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
Experience with RAMS, risk assessments, audits and site inspections
Full UK Driving Licence

IOSH membership/qualification
Knowledge of CDM 2015
Experience with ISO 45001
M&E, electrical, energy or renewable energy experience
Experience with Constructionline or similar accreditation systems
If you’re an experienced Health & Safety professional looking for a role where you can have a genuine influence on standards, culture and working practices, we’d like to hear from you.
